Description
Preservative Monograde 30 is a special engine oil for preserving combustion engines being put into storage for longer periods, e.g. for the winter storage of classic cars, motorcycles and pleasure craft. Top quality mineral base oils, carefully selected additives and special Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibitors give Preservative Monograde 30 the following properties:
- Outstanding corrosion protection for all internal engine parts during the long-term storage of combustion engines
- Very good detergent and dispersion capacity
- Outstanding resistance to oxidation
- Good anti-wear and anti-foaming capacity.
Application
Preservative Monograde 30 is a special engine oil designed specifically to protect combustion engines against corrosion when being stored for longer periods of time. Preservative Monograde 30 can also be used for a short period as a normal engine oil so that the vehicle can easily be driven or sailed to move it during the storage period.
We recommend the following procedure to optimally protect the engine:
- Change the spent engine oil at operating temperature with Preservative Monograde 30
- Fit a new oil filter
- Leave the engine to run stationery with Preservative Monograde 30 for a few minutes, after which it is ready for storage.
When putting the engine back into use after the storage period change the oil in the usual way with the prescribed engine oil.
