Modern transmissions make increasingly stringent demands on lubricants as they are becoming more complex, compact and light. The time when it was possible to use standard lubricants has passed. More and more the manufacturers in the automobile sector are calling for special lubricants with own-brand specifications. In response to this trend, Kroon-Oil has developed its premium-quality special (SP) product line, in conjunction with these manufacturers.
Transmission Oil SP 1071 is a premium-quality fully synthetic transmission oil that has been specially developed for manual transmissions and differentials. The following properties are achieved by making use of selected synthetic base oils and special additives:
- The high viscosity index results in fast and smooth gear changing behaviour at both low and operating temperatures.
- An outstanding oxidation stability level, which enables a longer life span.
- Special EP additives and optimally functioning syncromeshes (changing gear without grating) create optimum protection against wear under heavy operating conditions.
- The use of special friction modifiers results in controlled friction properties for smooth and efficient gear changes.
- Outstanding resistance to corrosion and high resistance to the formation of foam.
Application
Transmission Oil SP 1071 75W-85 is a fuel economy fully synthetic transmission oil with Limited Slip properties. This product has been specially developed for application in (limited slip) differentials of Mercedes Benz for which Mercedes prescribes the MB 235.7 specification. Transmission Oil SP 1071 is also suitable for use in differentials of the Audi CVT (Multitronic)transmissions, where the specification VW TL 521 90 is prescribed.
