MP MOTORSPORT GETS ANOTHER SMP F4 CHAMPION IN CHRISTIAN LUNDGAARD

With one round still to go, Christian Lundgaard is the 2017 SMP F4 NEZ champion, after a strong season with MP Motorsport. A string of dominant performances saw the Dane take a huge championship lead this summer, which he converted into the title at Moscow Raceway this weekend. Lundgaard follows in the footsteps of Richard Verschoor as the Northern European Zone Formula 4 champion.
Lundgaard set the pace from the opening round at Sochi where in pouring rain he won two of three races. A temporary setback at Smolensk and a difficult start of his Ahvenisto weekend in Finland was followed by the Dane picking up seven wins from nine starts, opening up a big lead in the championship. With three races still to go in the championship, Lundgaard’s lead has become unassailable.
