Compound OGL is a special compound formulated from highly refined mineral base oils with solvents. It is supplemented with special Bitumen 'Extreme Pressure' and wear-reducing molybdenum additives to achieve the following properties:
- Effective protection against wear under heavy loads
- Excellent penetrative ability that even enables it to reach steel wire cable cores
- Excellent water-resistance in both fresh and salt water environments
- Effective protection against corrosion
- Excellent adhesion to metals
- Also remains flexible at very low temperatures down to approx. -35 °C
Application
Compound OGL is used as a lubricant for heavy-duty open gears. Some examples are: turntables, drive chains that work in the open air or in a dusty environment and steel cables that need to be lubricated with a highly penetrating product that has effective protection against corrosion.
